God and mankind are fully reconciled in Jesus Christ by not having their trespasses imputed to them. The completed work of Jesus on the cross offers to everyone who will believe in Him forgiveness and righteousness. This finished work releases to every believer the blessing of Abraham whom God called a friend. The gospel gets better still.
Elder Edward emphasizes that God is the God of more than enough; using the provision of quail and manna in the wilderness, as well as the feeding of the 5,000, to show His abundant provision. He warns the church not to seek Jesus merely for blessings, food, or miracles, but to seek Jesus Himself, who is the true Bread of Life.
The message then shifts to the importance of being chosen and appointed by Jesus: before the disciples were sent out to preach, heal, and cast out demons, they were first called “to be with Him.” Elder Edward encourages us to prioritize God's presence, allowing Him to transform ordinary believers into people who carry His power and do greater works
